VIA AC'97 Audio controller (5)

This product has been tested on the following operating systems: NT4.0,Windows XP,Windows 2000 and has a average rating of 5

The last rating (5) has been submitted on 2007-08-19 11:44:14 by Anonymous running NT4.0:
Driver version 4.03.00.3130, on a VT8235 southbridge + VT1616 audio codec...

Works. Low latency (can use 30ms buffers in Modplug Tracker)... however...

Crashes with heavy hard disk activity (or page file?) while sound is playing (driver issue, unfortunately). To crash, run a Half-Life game and play through a few map changes, or... play a sound through foobar2000 and simultaneously copy and paste a sound in Sound Recorder.

_This happens in normal use_, too, at times, after a few hours. Rather unsettling...

No response from VIA. Keep trying?
