CpuIdle is a power management software. CpuIdle lowers the CPU temperature. This enhances CPU life (a decrease by 10oC doubles the life span) and cuts power consumption. Unlike normal power management CpuIdle is active all the time and works even when you're actively using your computer.

CPU Idle 6 Beta 1 doesnt work
because its not made to work! You need CpuIdle Pro 1.0 which is made
specificaly for win2000 and NT. Ive used it in Win2000 2195.3, on an
Abit BP6 with dual 366 running at 550 (stock fans) reduced heat by 20
