If it's any help I loaded Redline on WinXp with a simple twist. I put the disc in and went to the setup folder from Windows explorer. I put the setup icon on Windows 98 , ME compatibility and the game loaded . I applied the patch and rebooted. While in the Win 98/Me compatibility mode the game would not start from the desk top icon but show the error screen " Not Supported on Windows Nt". I went into properties and removed the compatibility for Win89/Me and let it go back to WinXp. Bam ! When I try starting it again the game came up and ran with no problems. Go figure! It may be a quirk with my system , but give it a try!

Works only if you fool it into thinking it is running under win 95/98 by using the compatibility tool kit available from microsoft.

Works fine, but no sound with my SB Live! value. This is an ANCIENT dos game, i was surprised to see it worked at all : )

OEM version was included with SQ2500 sound card. Trying normal autorun or setup gives error:' _INS5576_MP.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program.' Trying to shut down installation program through Windows gives error: 'This program cannot be closed. If it is being debugged, please resume it or close the debugger first.' and Windows 2000 has to be shut down completely. The program can be installed with the SafeMode.bat program on the SlaveZero CD, but after install trying to run the progam results in error message: 'SlaveZero.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program.'
